The Audio / Nav system of the Lexus IS works in such a way that if the stock headunit is removed then the Sat Nav system does not, this is due to the Sat Nav ECU ‘polling’ the headunit.
This meant that to fit an aftermarket headunit i would have to do what it seems everyone else has already done, either extend the wiring loom and put the stock headunit in the boot or strip the unit down to its bare PCB Board and tuck that away behind he glove box, both solutions i didnt really want to do.
So i went did some research tried a few things and come up with a 10 second plug and play solution.
